Linda’s Meat Sauce

Linda’s Meat Sauce

I have such fond memories of eating Sunday Spaghetti after church, with our dear friends, Tom & Linda. Linda had the most unique recipe for meat sauce I’ve ever seen, or tasted, and now it’s a tradition in our home on Sundays too.  I serve it with either gluten free pasta, whole grain pasta or rice noodles, or even over a big salad for a grain free meal.

  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pound ground Grass fed beef or turkey
  • 2 Tbsp Worchestire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 32oz jar of organic marinara sauce

  1. Sautee onion in oil until they are translucent. Add the meat or turkey, breaking up with a wooden spoon, and cook thoroughly

  2. When meat has browned, add next 5 ingredients and stir to combine

  3. Add Marinara sauce, stir and let simmer for ½ hour on low, stirring frequently
