Fudge Brownies

Fudge Brownies

Ah, yes…my obsession with chocolate continues.  These little gems are super moist and are bursting with flavor.  Add the 70% Cacao chips for an extra antioxidant burst, and dare I say they’re practically healthy!

Ingredients

  • Grapeseed oil for spraying the pan
  • 2/3 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/3 cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup garbanzo bean flour
  • 3 Tbsp tapioca flour
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp himalayan salt
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 Tbsp Grapeseed oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup 70% (or higher) cacao chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°. Spray 8×8 glass or ceramic pan with grapeseed spray and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl combine the coconut sugar, cocoa, 2 flours, and next 3 ingredients.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the applesauce, oil, egg and vanilla. Stir together until all combined.
  4. Add the flour/sugar mixture and stir well. Stir in chips.
  5. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350° for about 20 minutes, or until a toothpick in the center comes out clean. Be careful not to over bake. Enjoy!

*You can get creative and add nuts, unsweetened coconut flakes, or any other healthy treat you like.
